We're moving!

Big news: we are moving. And not just moving, we are actually moving abroad. Emigrating. To Sweden, to be precise.

So, the cat is out of the bag. We have been preparing for our emigration for a while now, and finally, the time has come. In November, we will be moving to our new home in Sweden, together with Fido and Nola. This has been an idea for a while, but we wanted to breed a litter of puppies in the Netherlands first, and we also had our wedding planned. After that, we would slowly start exploring the idea of emigrating. It all happened a bit faster than expected. Nevertheless, we are completely ready for it and most of all, we are very excited!

Why Sweden?

This is a question we get asked a lot, of course. Especially people in our immediate surroundings have asked this question. Although some of you already knew about our "Swedish dream", we kept it a secret from our family at first. We wanted to figure out for ourselves if it suited us and what exactly we wanted, without being unconsciously influenced by the opinions of people who are very important to us.

"In the end, it's a feeling, and a feeling cannot be explained."

Back to the question of why we want to move to Sweden. Despite being asked this question often, it is one of the hardest questions to answer, simply because we don't have a clear answer. What started as an idea, a dream, has developed into more serious plans. In the end, we did fall in love with the country and can see ourselves living there. But in the end, it's still a feeling, and a feeling cannot be explained.

What does this mean for the kennel?

For Ad Vitam Amicus, some things will naturally change. First and foremost, the most important thing is that we will not stop breeding. We will continue breeding in Sweden as well. As it seems now, we can take the kennel name with us to Sweden. The general approach will remain the same, and the changes that will be implemented will mainly be related to the differences in regulations between breeding in the Netherlands and in Sweden. We cannot say much about our litter planning yet, as we do not know exactly how the upcoming year will unfold for us. Emigrating is not something to be taken lightly, and we want to establish a stable situation first before continuing with breeding.

In the coming months, we will be packing and preparing for our emigration. For this reason, we will be less active on our social media channels. We will do our best to keep you informed about our emigration process and the future of Ad Vitam Amicus.
