Mjölby dogshow
The dog show in Mjölby is a show organized by the Swedish Spaniel and Retriever Club (SSRK). This means that only spaniels were present on Saturday, which was actually quite nice! A smaller show, but not with fewer entries. 74 cockers registered to participate in the show in Mjölby!
General impression
This show is less than a two-hour drive from our home, which is close by Swedish standards, and that was nice. This is a show that takes place at a riding school, an indoor show. We were on time and therefore managed to secure a nice spot by the ring. The atmosphere is very pleasant, but it's cold in the stable and after a few minutes, there is sand everywhere. Especially with jumping cockers, your pants will quickly be covered in sand. But looking around, we saw that almost all cocker owners were dealing with this.
Evi
Evi is in a period where many things are exciting. She is now 7.5 months old and it wouldn't surprise me if she goes into heat soon. This makes her easily overwhelmed by everything around her. That's why I took my time to get her used to the surroundings and let her walk around for a bit. Evi did well, she was in a group with two other puppies. Evi was at the front and was quite impressed by the dogs behind her. Evi eventually placed third.
Judges critiques:
"Good head with nice expression, good neck. Could have had more stop. OK throat. Forward shoulder, normal angulation front, nice forechest. Beautiful body for her age. Hindquarters good, nice muscling, sloping croup, needs a bit more self-confidence, needs more confidence in handling. Moves with short steps, but with good willingness. In the group, she becomes a little insecure."

Nola:
Nola did excellent again today, especially in a large group of 14 beautiful cockers! For the first time, Nola stood in free stack during the individual assessment, and that went very well. Nola received the rating ZG, unplaced, with a nice report where we can learn a lot again!
Judges critiques:
"4 years old, good head with nice details with a slightly broad skull, nice neck and topline normally sloping forward, nice chest protrusion, which could have been used a bit longer. Normally angled hindquarters, sloping croup, nice legs and paws, walks with slightly short steps and slightly bound, hence the price. Well presented."
